Forex Tester has a good rep for backtesting, but I’m not sure if it’s still the best option today with all the new tools popping up. What alternatives do you guys use that actually give reliable results and don’t feel like you’re stuck in the early 2000s?

I used Forex Tester for a while and liked it, but I eventually realized I didn’t need constant backtesting as much as I needed consistency in forward-testing. So I switched my focus: I still do a little backtesting, but most of my growth came from demo trading live markets every day at the same time. The discipline of treating a demo account like it was real gave me more confidence than swapping tools. My advice would be: tools are useful, but don’t underestimate sticking to a simple routine.
